Wall Street is a narrow section where you can enter the rest of the main canyon of Bryce. It also happens to be my favorite part of the Park

The Narrows where the two sides of the canyon come closest. Carved by the Virgin River, you can only forge this part of the canyon only when the water is at a certain flow rate. We got lucky-they had just opened it to hikers the day before. We caught the first shuttle into canyon and for a good while had it all to ourselves

Checkerboard Mesa is found near the north end of Zion Park and is unique because of these striations in the rock that criss-cross the whole area

You’ll sometimes see bighorn sheep ambling down using the striations to grip the rock
